Ralf Heck (born November 28, 1958 ) is a former German football player who competed in the 2nd Bundesliga with MSV Duisburg between 1982 and 1984 .

Career

After MSV Duisburg was relegated from the Bundesliga for the first time at the end of the 1981/82 season , Heck moved up to the first team's squad for the following second division season. On August 7, 1982, he was in a 1: 2 away defeat in the first game of the season against FSV Frankfurt in the starting line-up. Subsequently, the striker received regular match practice, but without being able to fight for a permanent place. With the club in 1983 he was clearly distant from a possible resurgence.

In the 1983/84 season he remained in the role of a supplementary player. On the last day of the match, he was on the pitch in his team's 2-0 win against SV Darmstadt 98 , which meant that MSV was relegated to the Bundesliga. In the relegation, the striker only played the first half of the first leg, was then replaced by Michael Struckmann and his team lost 5-0 to Eintracht Frankfurt . The second leg ended 1-1 and Duisburg remained in the second division. For Heck, his professional career ended after two years with 38 second division games and three goals. He then played in the Oberliga Nordrhein for VfL Rhede , where he later stayed as a member of the old men’s team.
