His professional career spanned from the mid- 1970s to the mid- 1980s . He was active in the 2nd Bundesliga for many years ; with Darmstadt and Karlsruher SC he also played in the Bundesliga . In addition, he was with the KSC 1984 second division champion. In his last Bundesliga season at 1. FC Saarbrücken , he was only used in the first round of the DFB Cup .
