Udo Lay

Udo Lay (born March 13, 1960 in Breisach ) is a former German soccer player .

The defensive midfielder comes from the offspring of Freiburg FC , for whom he played his first second division game in 1980 . He became a regular at FFC and moved in 1982 to just out of the Bundesliga relegated MSV Duisburg . There he was also part of the team for the next three years.

In 1985 Udo Lay returned to his home country and signed with SC Freiburg . He was an integral part of the team there until 1989, after two years with fewer missions he ended his professional career in 1991. In total, Lay played 355 second division games and scored 23 goals.

After his time as a footballer to Lay made as an architect independently . He is still associated with SC Freiburg as chairman of the association of the Freiburg football school.
