The 1995/96 season of the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg was the 18th season of the football Oberliga Baden-Württemberg and the second as the fourth-highest division in Germany. For the first time, the three-point rule was used. The champions and climbers in the Regionalliga Süd were the amateurs of the Karlsruher SC with two points ahead of the amateurs of the VfB Stuttgart . The Stuttgarter reached the relegation round to the Regionalliga Süd , in which they failed.

In the association of the leagues had FC cheeks 05 , the VfB Gaggenau , the SC Geislingen and SpVgg Amicitia Viernheim descend.

The promoters were the Bahlinger SC from the Association League South Baden , the SG Oftersheim from the Association League Baden and the SV Böblingen from the Association League Württemberg , which rose directly as the respective relay champions. The SG Heidelberg-Kirchheim qualified from the Baden association league via the promotion round of the runner -up . SV Sandhausen was relegated from the Regionalliga Süd .
