The Bahlinger SC is a football club with about 800 members from the South Baden Bahlingen am Kaiserstuhl . The club colors are red and white.

history

The association was founded in 1929. Until December 31, 2012, there were two departments, the soccer and gymnastics department. However, the gymnasts separated on January 1, 2013 and are now called TV Bahlingen. The soccer team played in the lower amateur classes until the late 1960s. In 1969 he was promoted to the Amateur League South Baden, which in 1978 became the fourth class association league. After the footballers narrowly missed promotion to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga in 1994 and 1995 , the Bahlinger SC won the championship of the Südbaden Association League in 1996 and then rose to the Oberliga. The club stayed there until relegation in 2005. In the 2005/06 season, they were promoted to the league again. In the 2014/15 season, the Bahlinger SC qualified with 2nd place in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg for the promotion round to the Regionalliga Südwest. After a 0-0 home game against TSV Lehnerz , the Bahlinger team prevailed 3-0 in the decisive game at SC Hauenstein and sealed the greatest success in the club's 86-year history. In the 2015/16 season , large clubs such as Kickers Offenbach , SV Waldhof Mannheim and 1. FC Saarbrücken visited the home stadium; relegation was missed, however. With the championship in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg 2018/19 before the Stuttgarter Kickers , the Bahlinger SC returned to the Regionalliga.

In the 2002/03 season , the BSC was represented in the DFB Cup and was eliminated in the second round with just 1: 2 against Waldhof Mannheim. In the first round they had won 1-0 against Alemannia Aachen .

In the 2013/14 season , the Bahlinger SC was again qualified for the DFB-Pokal, as the team had won the final of the South Baden Association Cup against FC Radolfzell 3-1. In the first round, the red-whites failed 3-1 at the second division VfL Bochum .

In the third DFB Cup participation in the 2015/16 season , the Bahlinger team held a goalless draw against second division club SV Sandhausen until the end of extra time, before losing 5-3 on penalties.
