The FC Emmendingen 03 is a football club with about 600 members from the Baden Emmendingen .

history

The association was founded in 1903 as FV Emmendingen . In 1956 FV Emmendingen merged with SV Emmendingen, founded in 1921, to form FC Emmendingen 03 .

From 1964 to 1965, the club played one season in the then second-rate Regionalliga Süd . With the terrifying record of only one win and two draws with 33 defeats and a goal balance of 31: 158, the team was relegated with no chance. The only victory came on the penultimate matchday 1-0 against relegated TSG Ulm 1846 . The club suffered the biggest defeats in a row on the 34th matchday away at SSV Reutlingen 05 and on the 35th matchday at home against the later promoted FC Bayern Munich with 0:10 goals each.

After thirteen years in the 1st Amateur League South Baden , the club was unable to qualify for the newly founded Amateur Oberliga Baden-Württemberg in 1978 and was classified in the then fourth-class Association League South Baden . After the interim relegation to fifth division, he was promoted to the Baden-Württemberg league in 1989. However, relegation followed after only one season.

It was not until 2005 that the first team returned to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg , but rose again at the end of the 2006/2007 season.

In the 2008/09 season, the FCE rose as the bottom of the table from the Association League South Baden , so that the team had to compete in the seventh-class national league again in the 2009/10 season. In the 2010/11 season, the second place was achieved and the associated promotion games. After a 1-0 home win against VfB Gaggenau and a 2-2 win at SG Dettingen-Dingelsdorf, FCE was promoted to the Südbaden Association . In 2012 they were relegated again to the regional league. The absolute low followed in 2019 with the relegation to the district league.
