Joël Kevin Kitenge (born November 12, 1987 in Kinshasa , Congo ) is a Luxembourg soccer player.

Career

Kitenge started his career at the Luxembourg club FC Schifflingen 95 . He came to FC Emmendingen via CS Oberkorn and the French fourth division club FC Villefranche . There he played 11 games, scoring two goals. This was followed by a brief appearance at the Dutch club FC Lienden in 2008, through which he came to CS Fola Esch , where he played until 2012.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to F91 Dudelange . At the beginning of the 2014/15 season he was loaned to CS Grevenmacher, where he definitely moved in the summer of 2015. In February 2016, Kitenge announced that he wanted to end his football career at the age of 28. In May 2016, he announced that in addition to his work in his restaurant "The Basch" in Baschleiden in northern Luxembourg, he would still play as a hobby for the fourth division team Jeunesse Useldingen (2nd division - 1st district). His two brothers Dimitri (* 1991) and Aristote (* 1995) also played there. After his restaurant had to close after only one year, Kitenge switched to the second division US Rümelingen in July 2017 for an honorary doctorate .

After Rümelingen's promotion to the BGL Ligue , his move to fourth division club FC Blo-Wäiss Itzig was announced in June 2018 .

National team

For the Luxembourg national football team , he completed 29 games and scored two goals against Macedonia (1: 4) and Wales (1: 5). His last encounter was against Romania on September 2, 2011.
