The FC Schifflange 95 ( Luxembourgish : FC Schëffleng 95 ) is a Luxembourg football club from the town of Schifflange .

history

FC Schifflingen 95 was founded in 1995 as a merger of the two Schifflang clubs The National (founded in 1912) and Amis des Sports (founded in 1936).

The National were champions in 1952, cup winners in 1960 and made it to the cup final in 1938. After relegation from the national division in 1974, there was a fall into the fifth division. At the time of the merger, The National was third rate.

AS has never played first class in its club history and at the time of the merger had just been relegated from the second-rate honorary doctorate after the club had been promoted three times within five years since 1990.

FC Schifflingen 95 rose to the national division in 1999, but did not manage to stay up and had to go down to the honorary doctorate after only one season . In the following years, the club rose to the fourth class 2nd division.
