The SV Oberachern is a football club from the district Oberachern of Baden-Württemberg City Achern . The club was founded in 1928 and is a member of the South Baden Football Association . The club's colors are blue and white.

history

The association was founded as "FV Oberachern" on October 6, 1928 in the "Rössel" inn in Oberachen. The club played its first association round match on September 25, 1929. The club has had its current name since 1946. In 1951 and 1952, the sports field and the first clubhouse with changing rooms, showers and kiosk were built. In 1967 and 1968 another functional building and the "Waldseegaststätte" clubhouse followed. In 2002 the inauguration of the new sports facility with grass pitch, hard court and a new, larger functional building took place. In 2011, the hard court was turned into an artificial turf field.

From the 2003/2004 season onwards, the club managed to move up from the regional league A to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg in a very short time and has since been one of the top clubs in southern Baden behind SC Freiburg and Bahlinger SC.

In the 2012/13 season, SV Oberachern was champion of the Association League South Baden and rose to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . In 2014, bottom of the table, despite 32 points, they went straight back to the association league. In the following year (2015) they made it back to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg .

The 2015/16 season finished the first team of SV Oberachern in seventh place in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg. The second team managed the second promotion in a row and will play in the district league from the 2016/17 season.

SV Oberachern was able to keep the class in the 2016/17 season. The second team was able to achieve their third promotion in a row with the regional league championship and will play in the regional league from the 2017/18 season.
