The 1. FC Bruchsal is a sports club from Bruchsal . The club colors of the club, which has more than 800 members, are blue-white-red. 1. FC Bruchsal was created in 1991 from the merger of the two clubs VfB Bruchsal and TSV 08 Bruchsal.
history
Today's 1. FC Bruchsal is the product of numerous club mergers. On July 10, 1899, some high school and secondary school students founded the 1899 Bruchsal football club . A year later, the soccer club Bruchsal and Phönix Bruchsal were founded. Further associations were founded in 1901 with Teutonia Bruchsal and in 1903 with FC Alemannia Bruchsal . In 1906 the soccer club and the soccer club merged to form the Bruchsal soccer association , while Phoenix and Teutonia formed FC Frankonia Bruchsal . Two years later, FC Alemannia dissolved and joined the newly founded FC Kickers Bruchsal .
The Bruchsal Free Gymnastics Association was also founded in 1908, which in 1920 became the Bruchsal Workers' Gymnastics and Sports Club . This workers' sports club was banned in 1933 and re-established in 1945 as TSV Bruchsal 08 . In 1909 there was another merger when the Kickers and Frankonia became the Frankonia Bruchsal football company . The football association and Frankonia had to merge on November 16, 1935 to form VfB Bruchsal . After two unsuccessful attempts, VfB and TSV merged on August 1, 1991 to form 1. FC Bruchsal.
In 2013 the greatest sporting success to date came with promotion to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga . However, after only one season , the team went straight back to the association league. The team played there for the next six years before being promoted to the league again in 2020.
