Amir Falahen (born March 15, 1993 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German - Palestinian soccer player . He has been under contract with regional league team Bahlinger SC since summer 2019 .

Career

Falahen came to SC Freiburg as a B-youth through SV Hochdorf and PTSV Jahn Freiburg in 2009 . With the A-Juniors of the SC, he won the DFB-Juniors-Club Cup in 2011 and 2012 . For the 2012/13 season he moved up to the Freiburg regional league team and scored 18 goals in the 2013/14 season when the team finished the season as runner-up. In July 2014, Falahen tore a cruciate ligament during a test match of the professional team and was out for more than half a year. After his return in March 2015, the attacker scored five goals in the last eleven games. For the 2015/16 season, Falahen received a professional contract with SC Freiburg and made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga on February 5, 2016 in the 2-0 defeat against VfL Bochum as a substitute . This made Falahen the first Palestinian to ever play in one of the top two leagues.

On September 14, 2017, Falahen joined third division club SC Fortuna Köln . Just two days later, on matchday 8, he made his debut in a 1-1 draw against Halleschen FC after being substituted on for Manuel Farrona Pulido in the 76th minute .

For the 2018/19 season, Falahen moved to the second team from Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Regionalliga West . He has been playing for Bahlinger SC in the Regionalliga Südwest since the 2019/20 season .
