Amaury Armindo Bischoff (born March 31, 1987 in Colmar ) is a football player with a French and Portuguese passport . He primarily plays in the central midfield and is under contract with Bahlinger SC .

Bischoff was born in Colmar in 1987 to an Alsatian father and a Portuguese mother and grew up there.

Jump from home in Alsace to Bremen

The midfielder started playing football at SR Colmar . In Colmar he was spotted by the viewers of Racing Strasbourg . He soon went to the club's soccer school. In Strasbourg, he aroused the interest of other clubs, including from abroad. The SV Werder Bremen committed Bischoff for 300,000 euros transfer fee. Due to his performance with the amateurs, Bischoff trained several times with the professionals. He did not play in the Bundesliga, partly because of injuries. Bischoff made his professional debut on March 14, 2007 in the UEFA Cup round of 16 against Celta Vigo , when he came on for Diego in the 74th minute . It was his only game for Werder's professional team.

Intermezzo at Arsenal FC

Although he could not fight for a regular place in the professional Werders team, Arsenal FC expressed interest in Bischoff. Wenger, who also comes from Alsace like Bischoff, convinced him to move to the Premier League . Bischoff commented on the move with this quote: “No player can turn down an offer like this from a big club.” On October 6, 2008, he made his debut for the Arsenal reserve team against Stoke City in the Premier Reserve League . For the only time in the Premier League played Bischoff on May 2, 2009, when he came on as a substitute for Theo Walcott on Matchday 35 in a 3-0 win over Portsmouth FC in the 64th minute .

Three years in Portugal

In the summer of 2009, his expiring contract was not extended, after which he moved to the Portuguese first division club Académica Coimbra . There he made his debut in the Primeira Liga on October 2, 2009 against Marítimo Funchal . He was in the starting line-up and was replaced at half-time. After a coach change, Bischoff lost his regular place. In January 2010 he was loaned to Desportivo Aves in the Liga de Honra , in which he played his first game on February 7, 2010. Bischoff was used in ten games in Aves and was able to convince in almost every game. In summer 2010 he returned to Académica Coimbra and came in the 2010/11 season on another nine missions. In August 2011 he moved to his former club Desportivo Aves on a free transfer and came in the 2011/12 season to twenty missions in which he scored a goal. Nevertheless, Bischoff was not happy in Portugal.

Return to Germany

Pavel Dotchev , coach of the German third division team Preußen Münster , had known Bischoff since their time in Bremen, as the Bremen reserve team in the Regionalliga West often met clubs that were coached by Dotchev. In May 2012 Dotchev and Bischoff agreed to move to Prussia Münster. He signed a two-year contract until June 2014. With the Prussians, he finished the third division season 2012/13 in fourth place and barely missed the promotion places to the 2nd Bundesliga.

In January 2017, Bischoff moved to Hansa Rostock within the 3rd division . In the second half of the third division season 2016/17 he was used 14 times for Hansa and scored one goal. In the following season, Bischoff made 23 more third division appearances and one in the DFB Cup against Bundesliga club Hertha BSC . His stakes in the 2018/19 season were initially heavily reduced. Only after a coach change during the winter break was Bischoff taken into account several times and became a stabilizer in the team. He reached sixth place in the 3rd league twice with the cog and was also the state cup winner for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 2017, 2018 and 2019 . In spring 2019, the midfielder offers of FC Hansa refused to renew his contract and moved in August 2019 to the Regional Southwest ascended Bahlinger SC .

National team

Amaury Bischoff already played for the French U-18 national team. On May 14, 2007 he was appointed to a training camp for the Portuguese U-20 team.
