The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern-Pokal is the state soccer cup of the state soccer association Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . After its sponsor, the Mecklenburg Brewery Lübz , the men's cup has also been known as the Lübzer Pils Cup since the 2013/14 season . Before that, it was called the Krombacher Landespokal between 2010 and 2013 . The women's competition is called the Polytan Cup .

Participants in the event for men's teams are the first teams from the third , regional , upper , association and state leagues of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In addition, there are clubs in the lower leagues that qualify for the state cup through the two state class cups that were held for the first time in the 2010/11 season. The winner of the national cup is entitled to participate in the DFB Cup .

The record winner is FC Hansa Rostock , which has won the trophy ten times so far.
