Football Association Cup 2003/04

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The participants of the 21 national associations of the DFB in the DFB-Pokal 2004/05 were determined via the football association cup 2003/04 . The winners of the association cups were entitled to participate in the first round of the DFB Cup. The three associations with the largest number of members, Bavaria, Lower Saxony and Westphalia, each also sent the losing finalists. Thus 24 amateur clubs qualified for the national cup competition via the association cups.

1 From the three regional associations with the most men's teams in play (Bavaria, Lower Saxony, Westphalia), the defeated cup finalist also took part.
2 Since Rot-Weiss Essen was already qualified for the DFB-Pokal as champions of the Regionalliga Nord, vice-cup winner Fortuna Düsseldorf moved up.
