The Badischer Fußballverband (bfv) is the umbrella organization for all 611 football clubs in North Baden with 200,532 members and 5,055 teams. It was founded on July 7, 1946 in Eppelheim and is one of the 21 regional associations of the DFB . Also clubs close to the border from the Württemberg part of the state are partly run in the Badischer Fußballverband, for example in the eastern Enzkreis around Mühlacker .

The sports school Schöneck in Karlsruhe has been based since 1953 . It was created in the course of the rise of football in the post-war years and was completed and inaugurated in 1953 on the Durlacher Turmberg . In the beginning, one of the priorities of the bfv and the sports school was the training of coaches and youth workers for the numerous newly established football clubs; today, the use of the extensively expanded facilities for other sports predominates. In addition to three soccer fields, there are three sports halls, an indoor swimming pool, two tennis courts, two beach volleyball courts, a wrestling and judo room and other facilities. Schöneck provides 172 beds for non-residents.

Ronny Zimmermann currently heads the association as President.

The association area is divided into nine districts ( Tauberbischofsheim , Buchen (Odenwald) , Mosbach , Sinsheim , Heidelberg , Mannheim , Bruchsal , Karlsruhe and Pforzheim ).

The association won the national cup of the DFB , also known as the amateur country cup , in 1967, 1969, 1972, 1973, 1996. In 2013, the U15 juniors won the country cup.

The highest division organized by the association is the Baden Association League .

The member clubs play the Badischer Pokal every year . Winning the Badischer Krombacher Cup for men entitles them to participate in the DFB Cup .
