The 11th DFB indoor women's cup was held in 2004 in Bonn . The venue was the Hardtberghalle . The 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam defeated in the final of the Hamburger SV 1: 0th It was the first tournament victory for the turbines.

The twelve teams of the current Bundesliga season took part in the tournament. The teams were divided into two groups of six teams each. Within each group, each team played each other once. The group winners and runners-up reached the semi-finals. The semi-final losers played for third place, the semi-final winners for the tournament victory. If it was a draw from the semi-finals after regular playing time, a nine-meter shootout followed.
