The 14th DFB indoor women's cup was held on January 20, 2007 in Bonn . The venue was the Hardtberghalle . The 1. FFC Frankfurt defeated in the final of the Hamburg SV with 2: 1. For the Frankfurt women it was the sixth triumph, for the HSV the second participation in the finals (both losers).

The twelve teams of the current Bundesliga season took part in the tournament. The teams were divided into three groups of four teams each. Within each group, each team played each other once. The group winners and runners-up as well as the two group thirds with the best points reached the quarter-finals. If it was a draw from the quarter-finals after regular playing time, a nine-meter shootout followed.

Since TSV Crailsheim and SG Essen-Schönebeck were tied on goals and points, the lot had to decide. Crailsheim moved into the semi-finals as the second-best group third.

Quarter finals

In the quarter-finals there was a downright death of favorites. With FCR Duisburg, 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam and host SC 07 Bad Neuenahr, all three group winners of the preliminary round were eliminated. The 1. FFC Frankfurt prevailed after initial difficulties.

Semifinals

Hamburger SV successfully prevailed in the duel between the underdogs, but benefited from a mistake by Freiburg goalkeeper Marisa Brunner . The 1. FFC Frankfurt made it into the final against Crailsheim just as tightly.

HSV initially took the lead thanks to a goal by Tanja Vreden . However, two goals from Kerstin Garefrekes turned the tide in favor of the Frankfurt women, who were ultimately able to defend their title.

The top scorer was Kerstin Garefrekes from 1. FFC Frankfurt with six goals. Isabell Bachor from SC 07 Bad Neuenahr was chosen as the best player , while Nadine Angerer from 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam was chosen as the best goalkeeper .
