The 21st DFB indoor women's cup was held on January 17th, 2015 in Magdeburg. The venue was the GETEC Arena for the sixth and last time. The reason for this was a decision by FIFA to host all indoor tournaments according to futsal rules. The twelve Bundesliga clubs rejected this. The last indoor cup winner was Bayer 04 Leverkusen with a 1-0 win in the final against VfL Wolfsburg .
The twelve teams of the current Bundesliga season 2014/15 took part in the tournament. The teams were divided into three groups of four teams each. Within each group, each team plays once against each other. The playing time is 1 × 12 minutes without changing sides. There are three points for a win and one point for a draw. In the event of a tie between two or more teams after the group matches, the better goal difference decides on the placement. If the goal difference is the same, the higher number of goals scored decides. If you still haven't made a decision, the result counts in a direct comparison. The last criterion would be the time of the first tournament goal.
The group winners, the runners-up and the two group thirds with the highest points reach the quarter-finals. If it is tied after regular playing time after the quarter-finals, a nine-meter shoot-out follows. The defeated semi-finalists together occupy third place.
