2 seasons of the
Westfalenliga

The 2014/15 season of the Oberliga Westfalen was the 33rd season of the Football Oberliga Westfalen and the third after its reintroduction by the organizing Football and Athletics Association Westphalia (FLVW) as the fifth highest division in Germany. The champions were TuS Erndtebrück , who rises to the Regionalliga West together with runner-up Rot Weiss Ahlen .

The champions of the Oberliga qualify for the first time (alongside the winner of the Westphalia Cup ) for the first main round of the DFB Cup 2015/16 .

Attendees

The following teams have qualified for the Oberliga Westfalen:

  • the relegated from the Regionalliga West 2013/14 : SV Lippstadt 08
  • the 15 remaining teams from the Oberliga Westfalen 2013/14 : Arminia Bielefeld II, SpVgg Erkenschwick, SuS Neuenkirchen, SC Roland Beckum, Rot Weiß Ahlen, TuS Erndtebrück, FC Eintracht Rheine, FC Gütersloh 2000, Westfalia Rhynern, TSG Sprockhövel, TuS Ennepetal, Hammer SpVg, SV Zweckel, VfB Hüls and Westfalia Herne
  • the two champions of the two seasons of the Westfalenliga 2013/14: SuS Stadtlohn and ASC 09 Dortmund

Promotion and relegation regulation

  • Promotion to the Regionalliga West
For promotion to the Regionalliga West , the first and second placed are athletically qualified.
  • Relegation from the Oberliga Westfalen
The two bottom of the table descend into the respective season of the Westphalia League . With three or four relegated from the Regionalliga West and the other superordinate leagues in the Oberliga, the three or four bottom of the table descend to the Westphalia League. If there are five or more relegated members from the Regionalliga West and the other superordinate leagues in the Oberliga, the four bottom of the table descend to the Westphalia League. The prerequisite for this is that two clubs in the upper league exercise their right to promotion to the regional league, otherwise the number of relegated teams increases to a maximum of six teams.
  • Promotion to the Oberliga Westfalen
The two champions rise from the two Westphalian leagues. If the number of 18 teams in the league is not reached, the runners-up in each season will play a play-off for an additional promoted player in the league if there is a free place.

1 VfB Hüls is withdrawing its team at the end of the season for economic reasons and would like to compete in the district league in the future.
2A prerequisite for promotion to the regional league is also the granting of the regional league license by the West German Football and Athletics Association . If one or more teams that are not eligible for promotion complete the season on a promotion position, the promotion rights are transferred to the following best-ranked clubs eligible for promotion; the clubs that move up in this way must, however, finish the season in at least fourth place.
3 For the Westfalenpokal 2015/16, clubs qualify in places 2 to 6.
4th 3 points were deducted from FC Gütersloh because social security contributions for 23 contract players were not paid and outstanding debts were paid too late.
