The football Oberliga Westfalen 1992/93 was the 15th season of the Oberliga Westfalen . The championship was secured for the fourth time by Preußen Münster with a five point lead over SC Verl . In the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga , the Münster team took second place in Group 2 behind Rot-Weiss Essen and therefore missed promotion. Vice champion Verl qualified for the amateur championship and finished last in the north group without winning points. The relegation ranks were taken by Sportfreunde Siegen , DSC Wanne-Eickel , Rot-Weiss Lüdenscheid and the amateurs of VfL Bochum . SV Holzwickede and TSG Dülmen rose from the association league . The Oberliga Westfalen played again with 16 teams in the 1993/94 season.
