The 1992/93 Bundesliga was the third season of the women's Bundesliga . The TuS Niederkirchen deposed the TSV Siegen by a 2: 1 victory after extension. It was the last season in which a women's soccer game only lasted 2 × 40 minutes.

Season course

TSV Siegen again dominated the northern group at will. After all, TSV suffered their first defeat during the season when they lost 2-1 at home to VfR Eintracht Wolfsburg . Grün-Weiß Brauweiler was able to confidently defend second place. Fortuna Sachsenroß Hannover made the biggest jump from eighth to fourth. The opposite way to the former series champion SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach . Both promoted players turned out to be too weak for the Bundesliga and had to relegate immediately. The TV Jahn Delmenhorst even remained without a win.

In the south, TuS Niederkirchen was the measure of all things. Together with FSV Frankfurt they moved into the semi-finals. The VfR Saarbrücken 09 became the third consecutive third parties. There were only a few changes in the middle of the table. The relegation battle was exciting. The TSV Battenberg was a point ahead of Wacker Munich hold the class. Munich drew ten times, a record that is still valid today. Wacker Munich was accompanied by TSV Ludwigsburg.

The Schmalfelder SV managed to get promoted again immediately. After failing in the previous year, FC Rumeln-Kaldenhausen and SC 07 Bad Neuenahr made it to the top. The fourth climber was TuS Wörrstadt , who won the first German championship in women's football in 1974 .
