The 2017/18 season was the 28th season of the Bundesliga , officially Allianz Women's Bundesliga , in women's football . The season began on September 2, 2017 and ended with the last matchday on June 3, 2018. The champions and runners-up qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League , while the last two teams have to be relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga .

The champions were again VfL Wolfsburg ahead of runner-up Bayern Munich. Both teams for the season 2018/19 the UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying again. The newcomer from Cologne and FF USV Jena relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga , while the returnee from Bremen was able to keep the class. The top scorer was Pernille Harder from VfL Wolfsburg with 17 goals.
