Jana Burmeister (born March 6, 1989 in Sonneberg , Suhl district , GDR ) is a German soccer player . The goalkeeper plays for TSV Barmke .
Burmeister began her career at SG 1951 Sonneberg and then moved to local rivals SG Spielzeugstadt Sonneberg . She came to USV Jena in 2003 via SC 1903 Weimar . On May 26, 2011, she announced that she would be leaving FF USV Jena and signing a two-year contract with VfL Wolfsburg. On June 1, 2011, she signed a two-year contract in Wolfsburg. On June 8, 2020, she announced her retirement from professional football and joined the upper division TSV Barmke .
In 2006 she was voted best goalkeeper at the U-20 national cup and took third place at the Nordic Cup with the U-17 national team . A year later she became European champion with the U-19 national team.
