Pernille Mosegaard Harder (born November 15, 1992 in Ikast ) is a Danish soccer player . She was Europe's Footballer of the Year in 2018 and 2020 and was also the first non-German to be voted Footballer of the Year in Germany in 2020 . Harder is a Danish national player and is under contract with Chelsea LFC .
Career
societies
Harder began her career at the Tulstrup-Faurholt IK association . From 2007 to 2010 she played in Viborg. After a guest appearance at IK Skovbakken , she moved to the Swedish first division club Linköpings FC for the 2012 season . On December 19, 2016, Harder signed with the three-time German champions VfL Wolfsburg . With VfL she won the double four times in a row and was twice top scorer in the Bundesliga.
In early September 2020, she moved to Chelsea LFC . She scored her first goal for Chelsea on September 13 in the second league game in a 9-0 win against Bristol City six minutes after being substituted on to make it 8-0.
National team
Harder went through the Danish junior teams, for which she scored 22 goals in 41 games. With the U-17 team, she took part in the European Championship finals in 2008 , in which she finished third with her team.
She played her first international A match on November 24, 2009 in the World Cup qualifier against Georgia , where she contributed three goals to the 15-0 record victory for the Danish team. She also scored three goals in the 3-0 win against Austria on the 20th and the 11-0 win against Armenia on November 23, 2011, and on April 8, 2013 in the 5-1 win against EM participants Russia . With 9 goals she was the best Danish goalscorer in the European Championship qualification .
Harder took part with the national team in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 in the tournaments for the Algarve Cup , in which Denmark finished 6th, 5th, 7th and 6th respectively, and was part of the squad for the EM 2013 . She was used in all five games until they were eliminated in the semifinals.
At the 2017 European Championships , the Danes with Harder as captain were vice European champions behind hosts Netherlands . In qualifying for the 2019 World Cup, she was used in the nine games played and scored five goals, including her 50th international goal on October 24, 2017. However, the Danes failed in the playoffs of the group runners-up to European champions Netherlands.
