The 2019/20 season was the 30th season of the Bundesliga , officially FLYERALARM Women's Bundesliga , in women's football . It started on August 17, 2019 and should end on May 17, 2020. The champions and runners-up qualify for the UEFA Women's Champions League , while the last two teams are relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga . Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the season was suspended after the 18th matchday (February 28 / March 1, 2020). On May 25, 2020, the DFB decided to continue from May 29, 2020 to the last match day on June 28, 2020.
