The Stadion am Brentanobad is a football stadium in the Hessian city of Frankfurt am Main . It is located in Rödelheimer Parkweg in the Rödelheim district near the Brentanobad pool, which gives it its name . The stadium is used by Eintracht Frankfurt (women's football) , Rot-Weiss Frankfurt and ESV Blau-Gold Frankfurt as their home ground. Since 2015, the sports facility has offered 5,650 seats, 1,500 of which are seats.
history
The original stadium was inaugurated in 1940. Newly built in 1992, it was renovated from 2013 to 2015 for around eleven million euros. On February 28, 2016, the symbolic handover of the keys took place before the match between 1. FFC Frankfurt and 1. FC Köln by Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann and Hesse’s Interior Minister Peter Beuth . As part of the renovation, the athletics facility was removed, a new floodlight system with 500 lux illuminance was installed, a new functional building was erected and the number of seats increased.
The spectator record of 20,000 stadium visitors was set on May 9, 1948 in the old stadium. In the new stadium, the record for a Bundesliga game is 5,200 spectators. On November 13, 2011, so many spectators wanted to see the Bundesliga match between 1. FFC Frankfurt and 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . The UEFA Cup semi-final on March 29, 2008 was also attended by 5,200 spectators.
There are also two artificial turf fields with floodlights next to the stadium .
