Ibrahim Maaroufi ( Arabic إبراهيم معروفي) (Born January 18, 1989 in Brussels ) is a Belgian - Moroccan football player .

Career

society

The midfielder comes from the youth division of RSC Anderlecht and later played for PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands . In 2006 Maaroufi joined the youth team at Inter Milan .

He was appointed to the first team squad several times. He finally made his Serie A debut on October 25, 2006 against AS Livorno when he came in for Dejan Stanković in the 82nd minute . With this commitment he is the second youngest player in the history of the Nerazzurri ; older than Goran Slavkovski , but younger than Giuseppe Bergomi .

For the second half of the 2007/08 season Maaroufi was awarded to FC Twente Enschede for a year and a half . During the 2008/09 winter break, the midfielder was loaned to Italian Serie B team Vicenza Calcio . A season later he signed a three-year contract with AC Bellinzona .

National team

Ibrahim Maaroufi plays for the Moroccan U-20 team and for the Olympic team from his parents' homeland. In 2007 he was nominated for the first time for the Belgian U-21 national team .
