The 2019/20 season of the B-Junioren-Bundesliga was the thirteenth season of the B-Junioren-Bundesliga . It opened on August 10, 2019, and the last games took place on March 8, 2020. The season was then interrupted until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic and finally declared prematurely ended after a decision by the DFB on May 25, 2020.
As in the previous 14 seasons, the season was played in the North / Northeast, South / Southwest and West seasons. At the end of the season, the three season winners as well as the runner-up of the West season should have played for the German soccer championship of the B-Juniors . The semi-finals would have been played back and forth, the final in one game. The three last-placed teams of the three seasons would have been relegated to the subordinate leagues.
In parallel to the men's and women's divisions, the B-Junioren-Bundesliga was also suspended indefinitely after the last games were played on March 8, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic . At an extraordinary DFB Bundestag on May 25, 2020, the 2019/20 season was finally declared over. Because of this, no master could be played, instead there were only three season winners, relegations from the league were also suspended. Promotion to the Bundesliga, however, should be possible. The rating per relay was based on the last table status using the quotient rule (points average per completed game). For the North / Northeast relay, the quotient rule was not applied because all teams had played the same number of games.
Season north / northeast
FC Carl Zeiss Jena and Hallesche FC took part as champions and runners-up in the B-Youth Regionalliga Nordost. Since the champions of the Regionalliga Nord, Hamburger SV II, were not eligible for promotion, runner-up Eintracht Braunschweig rose straight away without a playoff.
From the subordinate leagues, Alemannia Aachen rose as champions of the B-Jugend-Verbandsliga Mittelrhein, SV Lippstadt as runner-up in the B-Jugend-Verbandsliga Westfalen (since the master, Borussia Dortmund II, was not eligible for promotion) and Wuppertaler SV from the B- Youth Association League Niederrhein in the B-Juniors Bundesliga.
