The 2019/20 DFB Junior Club Cup was the 34th edition of this competition. It was the third edition in which 32 clubs took part. In addition to the A-Junior Cup winners of the 21 regional associations of the DFB, the defending champions, the A-Junior champions and the three best-placed teams of all three seasons of the A-Junior Bundesliga took part.

Game operations during the COVID-19 pandemic

The competition opened on August 31, 2019 and, due to the COVID-19 pandemic , was interrupted until the semi-finals were held until further notice. After a decision by the DFB on May 25, 2020, the club cup was finally declared over without further game activities and accordingly no cup winners were chosen.
