The SC Borgfeld (officially: Sportclub Borgfeld eV ) is a sports club from the Borgfeld district of Bremen . The first men's soccer team was promoted to the fifth-class Bremen league in 2018 .
history
The TSV Borgfeld sports club was founded on February 4, 1948 . On December 9, 1981, the football department separated from TSV Borgfeld and founded an independent club with SC Borgfeld. For decades the footballers only played at the district level and only played in the district league for a few years. In 2005, after two consecutive promotions, the club reached the Bremen State League for the first time in club history , where the team mostly played against relegation. In the 2009/10 season, the team was briefly trained by former German national player Frank Neubarth . In 2011, the Borgfelder were relegated and reached the semifinals of the Bremen Cup in the 2012/13 season . Here the team of SG Aumund-Vegesack lost 2: 4. In 2014 he was promoted to the regional league. Four years later, the Borgfelder secured their first promotion to the Bremen League early.
