history

The habenhauser FV was founded on March 2, 1952 and started with two men's teams in the 3rd district class in the game at that time. Three years later, the club leased a piece of land on the Weser dike, which has since been the club's home ground. Between 1958 and 1961, the habenhausers rose to the Bremen district league before the club found itself in the 2nd district class in 1965 . After that, the club was quiet for a long time and it was not until 1979 that they returned to the district league . The adventure ended again with the descent to the district league B , before the HFV made it to the district league A in 1991 .

In 1996, habenhausen returned to the district league for the third time, from which the immediate march through to the sixth-class Landesliga Bremen succeeded and from there the promotion to the fifth-class Verbandsliga Bremen . The habenhauser FV achieved three climbs in three years. The club stayed in the association league for two years, but managed to return immediately to the top division of the Bremen Football Association in 2001 . There the club established itself in the following years and in 2008 was one of the numerous clubs that were included in the Bremen League under Oberliga status.
