The FC Union 60 Bremen is a sports club from Bremen . The first soccer team has played in the Bremen League since its promotion in 2019 .
history
FC Union 60 was created in 1998 through the merger of the Bremen 1860 and BBV Union Bremen clubs . In 1860 he won the German amateur championship, which was played for the first time in 1951, while the BBV Union played 15 years in the highest Bremen amateur league and produced a Bundesliga player and coach in Thomas Schaaf .
The first team started in the regional league and reached the Bremen regional league from 2001 to 2004. The club's A-youth was one of the founding members of the U-19 Bundesliga in 2003 . In 2006 the first team from Union missed promotion to the regional league; she rose in 2009 and 2011 in the Bremen League . In 2016, the team relegated to the national league and managed to get promoted again three years later.
In addition to the football department, the club also has a rugby department .
