Hardy Greens

Hardy Grüne (born December 31, 1962 in Dortmund ) is a German author.

Hardy Grüne first grew up in Dortmund, he has lived in Göttingen since 1975 . He studied geography , politics and journalism . As a child he became a football fan like his father (until today from Göttingen 05 ). Added to this was the passion for collecting football pins. This led to the fact that he developed into a football statistician and football historian and published various books on the subject. He is also the author of political and historical books and articles on trade unions .

In 2011, Grüne took part in the 12,000 km Tour d'Afrique cycle race, and in 2014 in The Andes Trail cycle race . The 11,000 km race from Quito to Ushuaia is driven in 108 daily stages.

Since 2015, Hardy Grüne has been publishing the quarterly magazine “Zeitspiel - Magazin für Fußball-Zeitgeschichte” together with Frank Willig . He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Lower Saxony Institute for Sports History .
