DFB Cup 2018/19

The DFB-Pokal 2019/20 was the 77th edition of the men's soccer cup competition. The final should take place on May 23, 2020 and, as has been customary since 1985, be held in the Berlin Olympic Stadium. On April 24th, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed and instead took place on July 4th. FC Bayern Munich defeated Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 and won their 20th DFB Cup title.

Because Bayern Munich had already qualified for the UEFA Champions League via the Bundesliga , the sixth in the Bundesliga final table , TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, moved from the Europa League qualifying place to the group stage, and the seventh, VfL Wolfsburg, received an additional participant the free place in the qualification.

Furthermore, during the competition, no two teams from a club or a corporation were allowed to participate in the games for the DFB club cup.
