DFB Cup 1992/93

DFB Cup winner in 1993 was Bayer 04 Leverkusen that against the amateur team of Hertha BSC , won the second round in the defending Hannover 96 had turned off. For Leverkusen it is the only national title to date. In the subsequent European Cup Winners' Cup , Leverkusen was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Portuguese cup winners Benfica Lisbon due to the away goals rule .
