Martin Kree (born January 27, 1965 in Wickede (Ruhr) ) is a former German football player .
Career
The defender began his career at TuS Wickede . For the 1983/84 season Kree moved together with Frank Heinemann from the A-youth of VfL Bochum to the amateur team in the Oberliga Westfalen .
On April 21, 1984, Kree began his Bundesliga career at VfL Bochum in the second round match against VfB Stuttgart . By 1989 he played 164 games for VfL and scored 28 goals. From 1989 he was active for Bayer 04 Leverkusen . He played for Leverkusen until 1994 and then moved to Borussia Dortmund . Kree played in Dortmund until 1998 and won the Champions League and the World Cup in 1997 . Other successes in his career were the German championships in 1995 and 1996 with BVB and winning the DFB Cup in 1993 with Bayer 04 Leverkusen. With VfL Bochum, Kree was in the final of the DFB Cup in 1988 .
Overall, Kree played 401 times in the Bundesliga and scored 51 goals. He was particularly known for his shooting power in long-range shots and set pieces. He also played five times in the German U-21 national team in 1984 and 1985; In 1986 he was used in the B national team .

After the career
Immediately after his career, Kree began to work in the Cologne branch of a Liechtenstein marketing agency. Today, Kree works in the computer industry after opening an IT training center (New Horizons) in Holzwickede in August 2004 . He has been a member of the Supervisory Board of VfL Bochum since July 2012 .
Special
During his time at VfL Bochum, Kree had the hardest shot in the Bundesliga, as was determined in the Bundesliga show kick-off on RTL . A ball speed of 137 km / h was measured, more than any other Bundesliga player of his time.
