The Oberliga Südwest 1992/93 was the 14th season of the third-class league.

Master was Eintracht Trier , which however did not prevail in the promotion round to the second division and thus remained in the upper league. Relegated to the Association leagues had of SV Viktoria Herxheim , Wormatia Worms and SV Geinsheim . However, the decision about the relegation place 16 was extremely tight. Only because of the worse goal difference against the Homburg amateurs tied on points and VfL Hamm, the Herxheimer Viktoria ultimately lost out. But SV Wittlich and TuS Mayen also had to tremble for a long time to finally escape the relegation ranks by a point. Playing in the major league for the first time, TSG Pfeddersheim achieved a surprisingly good seventh place in the table. For the traditional club Wormatia Worms, relegation to the association league was the sad consequence of growing financial problems that resulted in insolvency: bankruptcy proceedings were opened in the following season. It took several years for Wormatia to reappear in the big leagues.
