Humberto Medina

Humberto Medina Villaseñor (born September 5, 1942 in Guadalajara , Jalisco , † November 24, 2011 ), also known by the nickname Capi , was a Mexican football player on the position of defender .

career

Medina was trained in the youth department of his home club Atlas Guadalajara , where he also received his first professional contract . He was under contract with Club Atlas for more than a decade (from 1961 to 1972) and won the Mexican Cup competition with the Rojinegros in both 1961/62 and 1967/68 . Also in 1968 he completed six appearances for the Mexican national soccer team (no goal) and played all three group games at the 1968 Olympic soccer tournament .

In 1972 he left his long-term club Atlas, with whom he was runner-up in the Mexican league in the 1965/66 season , and at the end of his career spent one more season each in the ranks of CF Pachuca (1972/73) and CF La Piedad (1973 / 74).
