coat of arms
Blazon : "Divided by blue and silver, above a striding, looking, red-tongued, golden lion, below a continuous, red bar cross, angled with stalked, red clover leaves turned towards the center of the cross." | |
Justification of the coat of arms: The coat of arms is designed after the three court seals of the place. Nentershausen, which came from the inheritance of the Counts of Diez , was finally assigned to Kurtrier in 1564 . The common Trierian- Nassau territorial rule only ended with the Diez Treaty of 1564. The Diez lion and the Electorate of Trier cross show this common political fate. The shamrocks are to be seen as a special place symbol of Nentershausen. |
