Winkelbach is a municipality in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Hachenburg community .

Geographical location

The community is located at an altitude of about 300  m in the Westerwald between Limburg an der Lahn and Siegen in the upper Wiedtal. The Wied flows east of the village . Neighboring towns are Wahlrod in the north-west , Hattert in the north-east and Höchstenbach and Welkenbach in the south-west and south . The hamlet of Krambergsmühle partially belongs to the community of Wied .
