Herschbach (Oberwesterwald) is a municipality in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Wallmerod Association . Herschbach is a state-approved resort .

geography

The community is located in the Westerwald between Montabaur and Westerburg .

The districts of the community are Herschbach, Wahnscheid and Lochheim. The Wahnscheider Hof residential area also belongs to the community.

history

Herschbach was first mentioned in 1290 as Haderichsbach .

On January 1, 1976 the part of the name "(Oberwesterwaldkreis)" was changed to "(Oberwesterwald)".
