Geographical location
The community is located in the Westerwald south of Montabaur in the Nassau Nature Park .
history
Holler was first mentioned in a document in 1228 in the Oculus Memoriae of the Eberbach monastery .

The council in Holler consists of 16 council members, who in the local elections on May 26, 2019 in a majority vote were elected, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Uwe Meyer became local mayor of Holler in the summer of 2014. In the direct election on May 26, 2019, he was confirmed in office for a further five years with a share of the vote of 86.92%.
Meyer's predecessor in office was Margret Flosdorf.

The description of the coat of arms reads: Holler's territorial affiliation is symbolized by the coat of arms in the paws of the lion ( Kurtrier ) and the golden lion on a blue background ( Nassau ). Abundance of water and mills are shown in the local coat of arms by the wavy bar. The color green stands for agriculture and forest. The former branch church venues are represented in the local coat of arms by the seven golden clapboards. As a symbol for the church patroness St. Margaretha, the golden dragon with the sword is in the coat of arms.
