Hüblingen is a municipality in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Rennerod .

Geographical location

The community is located in the Westerwald between the cities of Siegen (36 kilometers north), Wetzlar (29 kilometers east) and Limburg an der Lahn (20 kilometers south).

Municipal council

The municipal council in Hüblingen consists of six council members, who were elected by a majority vote in the local elections on May 26, 2019 , and the honorary local mayor as chairman.

mayor

Wolfgang Kämchen became the local mayor of Hüblingen on June 28, 2019. Since no candidate had stood in the direct election on May 26, 2019, the election was made by the council in accordance with the municipal regulations. The latter unanimously decided in favor of Kämpchen.

Kämfchen's predecessor Bernd Appel had held the office of mayor for ten years.
