Gerrit Müller (CDU) became mayor of the Rennerod community on September 4, 2014. In the direct election on May 25, 2014, he was elected for eight years with a share of 54.62% of the votes. Müller is the successor to the mayors Werner Daum (CDU, 1983-2014) and Karl Boller (CDU, 1972-1983).
