The Verbandsgemeinde Rennerod is an administrative unit in the legal form of a regional authority in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . The municipality of the association includes the town of Rennerod and 22 independent local communities , the administrative seat is in the eponymous town of Rennerod.

The Verbandsgemeinderat Rennerod consists of 32 honorary council members, who were elected in a personalized proportional representation in the local elections on May 26, 2019 , and the full-time mayor as chairman.

mayor
Gerrit Müller (CDU) became mayor of the Rennerod community on September 4, 2014. In the direct election on May 25, 2014, he was elected for eight years with a share of 54.62% of the votes. Müller is the successor to the mayors Werner Daum (CDU, 1983-2014) and Karl Boller (CDU, 1972-1983).
