coat of arms

Bretthausen coat of arms
Blazon : "Divided in the tiller cut, three golden ears of corn growing in green above, on the right in gold a blue wavy bar accompanied by two gold-covered blue flax flowers, overturned below, on the left in red a silver roof turret with a black cross with two eight-lamellar, golden sound arcades ."
Justification of the coat of arms: The colors blue, red, gold and silver indicate the earlier territorial affiliations. Three golden ears of wheat symbolize the important role of agriculture, the two blue flax flowers indicate the cultivation of linseed and the wavy band is related to the Great Nister . The symbolized bell tower represents the school built in 1910.
