Steinebach an der Wied is a municipality in the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Hachenburg community .

geography

On the southern border of the community of Hachenburg, in the north-western part of the Westerwaldkreis, on the Westerwald lake plateau and the Wied , is the place Steinebach an der Wied.

Districts are Steinebach, Schmidthahn, Langenbaum and Seeburg. The latter is located on the west bank of the Dreifelder Weiher and consists of only a few houses without a village character. The state forest borders Hachenburg to the north and east; in the north lies the Gitzebeul (494 m), in the east the Wildenhahn (497 m) and in the west the Hartenfelser Kopf.

The Wiedwanderweg is located south of the village in the area of ​​the upper reaches of the Wied.
