State :

The federal highway 413 (abbreviation: B 413 ) is a German federal highway in Rhineland-Palatinate . It leads from the B 42 in Bendorf to Hachenburg , where it joins the B 414 . The federal road has a length of around 43 km .

course

The federal road 413 branches off from the B 42 near Bendorf (whose neighboring exit is a junction with the A 48 ) and leads through the town center and the Sayn district . The road now follows the meandering course of the Saynbach to Isenburg in a very winding section . Then it leaves the Saynbachtal (the state road 304 branching off in Isenburg follows the Saynbach) and leads up into the hilly landscape of the Vorderen Westerwald . Via Kleinmaischeid it leads to Dierdorf , where the state roads 258 and 266 branch off on this section (coming from Dierdorf you have to turn left at the junction of the L 258 to Neuwied (see TOTSO ) in order to stay on the main road), which is at its intersection Have a connection to the nearby A 3 . The former route led behind Dierdorf to Marienhausen , but a few years ago a new route with a slightly wider lane was led past Marienhausen, whereby the new route already begins in Dierdorf, so that one cannot actually speak of a bypass. The new course meets the old one behind Marienhausen and at the junction to Marienrachdorf and continues to Herschbach . Originally the road ran through the village, but in the early 1990s a bypass road with 3 junctions was built to the northwest of the town in order to relieve it of through traffic, because this was relatively high in the town due to the branching off of the regionally important state road 305 towards Montabaur ( the state road was also routed around the village in a new route). Via Mündersbach it goes to Höchstenbach , where it crosses the B 8 . Within the village, the two federal highways run on a short section together on one street, whereby the form of the intersection is also a TOTSO, as you have to leave the main direction of travel coming from Hachenburg in order to stay on the B 413; Otherwise, take the B 8 to Altenkirchen (you also have to turn off the B 8 from Altenkirchen to follow the B 8 to Limburg, otherwise you would continue on the B 413 to Hachenburg). The federal road leads via Wied and Merkelbach to Hachenburg , where it joins the B 414 behind the city . A bypass was built a few years ago to the west of the city to allow through traffic to bypass the city. The section between the junction of the L 288 in the direction of Hachenburg city center and the confluence with the B 414 is the busiest with an average daily traffic volume of 14,300 vehicles.

Planned expansion

In the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan 2030, the planned bypass around Dierdorf is classified as an additional requirement. The bypasses of Mündersbach, Höchstenbach, Wied and Merkelbach planned in the previous statements are currently no longer included.
