The German federal highway 418 (abbreviation: B 418 ) runs through Rhineland-Palatinate . It leads from Echternacherbrück through the valley of the Sauer , which here forms the border with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg , to Wasserbilligerbrück .
Since the abolition of border controls, many Germans prefer to use the N 10 on the Luxembourg side instead of the B 418 up to the motorway junction of Autoroute 1 (on the German side A 64 ), as this cuts off the Sauerschleife at Ralingen.
