    course

    Construction site A 20 near Geschendorf (2006)

The B 206 begins at the end of the A 20 east of Bad Segeberg and leads via Bad Bramstedt , Kellinghusen and Hohenlockstedt to Itzehoe to the A 23 . It crosses the A 21 west of Bad Segeberg and the A 7 east of Bad Bramstedt .

    history

The national highway 206 was - like all east-west routes in Schleswig-Holstein - set up to 1937th Its western section between Itzehoe and Kellinghusen was built in 1868/69. Predecessor as old route stretches is the medieval Lübsche Trade .

Until the construction of the A 20 between Bad Segeberg and the A 1 , the B 206 began in Lübeck . From Segeberg to the Geschendorf junction , the A 20 runs on the route of the separate B 206, to the Mönkhagen junction a little north of it and then turns south. As a result, the old federal road was downgraded to county road 115 in the Segeberg district or county road 112 in the Stormarn district, from Mönkhagen to Lübeck to Landesstraße 332. A 20 and B 206 use or used the former route in the middle of the between Weede and Segeberg 1960s discontinued Lübeck-Segeberger Railway .

Since the end of 2011, the B 206 has been running on a bypass north of Bad Bramstedt.
