The federal road 277 (abbreviation: B 277 ) begins in the immediate vicinity of the Haiger / Burbach junction on the federal motorway 45 and leads via Dillenburg , Herborn to Wetzlar (formerly through Wetzlar to Pohl-Göns near Butzbach ). It has a length of about 38 km (previously: 58 km) and runs over its entire length only a few kilometers from the route of the A 45.
Routing
The main road begins in Haiger and leads via Dillenburg ( Schlossberg tunnel ; later partly like a motorway) and Herborn to Asslar . From there it leads over the former B 277a , which has been developed similarly to the autobahn, runs along the Wetzlar-Dillfeld industrial park to the west and ends after a few kilometers on the B 49 in the Dalheim district . The former part of the B 277 continued from Asslar through the north of Wetzlar and via the train station through the city center, where the lanes separate. Both run in two lanes through the city and come out again at the southern tip of Wetzlar, where they then continue like a country road to Butzbach .
The B 255 runs parallel to the B 277 between Herborn-Burg and Herborn .
The section between Wetzlar and Pohl-Göns has been downgraded to a state road, in Wetzlar it is part of state road 3053 north of the Lahn. The former B 277a was integrated into the B 277. The graduation came into effect on January 1, 1995.
